The Department of Education Carl D. Perkins grant program supports awarded applicants in educating students who enroll in CTE (Career and Technical Education) courses and programs in preparation for high-skill, high-wage, or high-demand occupations.
The H-1B Ready to Work Petrochem Grant program is designed to provide education, training, and job placement assistance in the occupations and industries for which employers are using H-1B visas to hire foreign workers, and the related activities necessary to support such training. The program is intended to raise the technical skill levels of American workers so they can obtain or upgrade employment in high growth industries and occupations as well as help businesses reduce their use of skilled foreign professionals permitted to work in the U.S on a temporary basis under the H-1B visa program.

The purpose of this Department of Labor grant is to use LINCS(Leveraging, Integrating, Networking and Coordinating Supplies) consortium to develop and deliver an innovative, latticed and laddered Supply Chain education and training program for entry and middle-level workers, enabling upward mobility from entry-level certifications all the way to the PhD with SCM specialization.
The purpose of the National Science Foundation (NSF) STEP (STEM Talent Expansion Program) project is to increase attainment of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) associate's and baccalaureate degrees, as well as to facilitate and increase transfer of STEM students across institutions.
The purpose of this grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board is to increase student enrollment and retention within the Nursing program as well as provide enhancements to the Nursing program in education, recruitment of faculty members, and identify, develop or implement innovative methods to increase effective use of limited resources.
The purpose of the Small Business Development Center program is to provide high quality business and economic development assistance to small businesses and prospective small businesses in order to promote growth, expansion, innovation, increased productivity and management improvement.
The Talent Search program identifies and assists individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds who have the potential to succeed in higher education. The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling to its participants and encourages them to graduate from high school and continue on to complete their postsecondary education. This grant is part of the Federal TRIO programs, which are Federal outreach and student services programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The purpose of the T-STEM (Texas Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) scholarship program is to assist in student success and retention with financial, academic, and community support through scholarships, tutorial assistance and mentorship programs with students, faculty and industry leaders.
The Workforce Solutions child care grant program is designed to assist students, staff and faculty with child care costs based on need. Eligible students at San Jacinto College can be reimbursed for costs of child care at the San Jacinto College children's centers at Central and North campus.
