The industrial workforce continues to employ a large portion of today’s working population in areas such as construction and manufacturing technologies. Whether you need to prepare for a career, upgrade current job-related skills, or learning a new skill, San Jacinto College Continuing and Professional Development Applied Technology and Trades division offers courses and programs for a number of today’s industrial professions taught by instructors that are experts in their field.
Enroll in one of our hands-on trade courses in areas such as automotive, electrical, sheetmetal, welding, or pipefitting. We also offer a professional truck driving program coordinated with the Department of Transportation. If you are looking for a more analytical approach to combining science with industrial operations, consider our nondestructive testing courses such as magnetic particle testing, ultrasonics, or digital radiography. For a more technology-based program, enroll in our basic or advanced process troubleshooting course. Designed for beginning or current process operators/technicians, these courses offer training covering topics from introduction to process instrumentation and troubleshooting to performing emergency shut-down operations using prescribed procedures.
