GED GradsGED Test Preparation

GED classes offer high school level instruction to prepare students for their exam. The GED testing program gives adults a way to demonstrate competency equivalent to a high school education; the GED preparation tutorial is offered as a series of classes in all five-subject areas. The tutorial covers the subject matter at a slower pace and allows for a greater focus on subject matter than the traditional GED review Note: The GED is earned by passing all five-subject areas on the GED test (math, language arts reading, language arts writing, social studies and science.

San Jacinto College also offers the GED preparation tutorial, and its individual courses, in Spanish.

*GED class registrations are accepted in person only.  Must provide proof of Texas residency and photo ID (with date of birth) or birth certificate must be presented. Must be age 18 or older unless court ordered by a judge or 17 years of age with parental consent. If you are 16, you must present a court order from a judge and a permission slip signed by your parent or guardian; if age 17, you must present a permission slip signed by your parent or guardian AND the Registrar's Office of the school you last attended.
