Required Trainings

San Jacinto College has on-line training programs regarding Unlawful Harassment Prevention and Preventing Discrimination and Sexual Violence. Federal law requires that each employee of the college receive training on these subjects on an annual basis. In our busy world, it is sometimes hard to schedule face-to-face training. Taking the training on-line should be less intrusive to your daily schedule. These courses are mandatory for all employees. New employees need to complete these training courses no later than 30 days from their first day of employment. 

Training can be accessed in the Cornerstone talent gateway.These programs may be accessed 24 hours a day, and it will take approximately two to three hours to complete both courses.


  • Preventing Discrimination and Sexual Violence is an interactive training program designed to educate employees about the Title IX and key provisions in the Campus SaVE Act. These provisions were incorporated into law through the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) and the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act (VAWRA), effectively amending the Clery Act.

  • Unlawful Harassment Prevention is an online training program intended to clarify what constitutes sexual harassment, to raise the level of sensitivity regarding behaviors that might be interpreted as offensive, and to provide information about procedures available to employees for dealing with sexual harassment that they may observe or personally encounter in the workplace.
