How to Co-Enroll With Texas State

  1. Get In Touch to Learn More

    Interested, but not ready to commit? Schedule an appointment with the TXST team to learn more. A TXST coordinator will reach out with more information.

  2. Choose Your Pathway

    With TXST, you'll earn your two-year Associate of Arts in Business. You'll then earn your four-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). With five concentration areas, you'll just need to choose which one you want to pursue.

  3. Apply to San Jac and TXST

    You'll need to apply and be admitted to both San Jac and TXST to participate in the TXST co-enrollment program. Fill out one application for both schools at ApplyTexas.

  4. Enroll and Register for Courses at San Jac

    Once you've been admitted to San Jac, you can complete your enrollment. This includes submitting transcripts, new student orientation, testing (if applicable), and submitting meningitis vaccine records (if under 22).

    Finally, you can register for courses! You'll work with your
    San Jac Academic Advisor to register for your San Jac courses.

    You can begin your San Jac courses before you've been admitted to TXST. You'll only be able to take TXST courses once you've been accepted to the university.

  5. Register for Courses at TXST

    Once you've been admitted to the TXST, you can enroll and register for their courses! You'll work with your TXST coordinator to register for your TXST courses.

Your bachelor's degree will be from Texas State University. Your two-year associate degree will be from San Jacinto College. 
No. The degree is hybrid, so you will have some courses in-person and some online. All the in-person classes for the university will be taken at San Jacinto College South Campus

Any San Jac course will be charged at our rates, and TXST's courses will be charged at their rates
Yes, you can still get financial aid. You will complete the FAFSA once for only one of the institutions. You should list both schools as recipients on the FAFSA. Your credit hours will be combined to determine your financial aid eligibility. Check out our financial aid options
Yes! After you earn 60 credit hours, you'll receive a $4,000 TXST Local Award. It pays $1,000 each semester up to four consecutive semesters or the earning of a bachelor's degree (whichever comes first). 
Your co-enrollment degree will be taken at South Campus
